Health Maintenance Activities

(HMAs) are advanced-level tasks that our caregivers can perform, based on RN assessment, that enable the client to remain in an independent living environment. Under state regulations, Caregivers are not allowed to provide care beyond ADL (activity of daily living) tasks without an HMA in place. With an HMA Caregivers can provide and go beyond ADLs because of the higher skill level required to perform.
